The Foundation is focused on developing a national movement for social entrepreneurship.
The Foundation currently supports:
Enterprising Non-Profits Alberta (enp-ab): provides funding and educational opportunities for Alberta-based non-profit organizations to evaluate and enhance their social enterprises. Intro to Social Enterprise workshops are held throughout the year and are pre-requisite for organizations interested in obtaining business development funding from the Trico Charitable Foundation.
Social EnterPrize: an award program established by the Trico Charitable Foundation to recognize Canadian leaders and non-profit organizations that are effectively using social enterprise to deepen their community impact. Four annual awards make up the Social EnterPrize for organizations and individuals. The inaugural Social EnterPrize conference will be held on November 17, 2011 in Calgary, Alberta.
Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF): Trico Charitable Foundation is the founding partner of CYBF Alberta’s “socialprenuer” program. This initiative provides funding and support for young social business entrepreneurs throughout Alberta.
